Dr David Fineberg is a General Practitioner and PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, specialising in complex chronic illnesses including ME/CFS, Long COVID, POTS, and other overlapping neuroimmune and autonomic conditions. He is the founder of the ME Research Clinic (MERC), a dedicated service offering comprehensive clinical assessment and management of ME/CFS and Long COVID, including support with NDIS, TPD, and DSP applications.
We welcome new patients (current waitlist ~5 months). Patients are encouraged to explore research opportunities that align with their capacity and interests, with full information provided to support informed choices regardless of illness severity.
Note that Dr Fineberg does not diagnose or management hEDS/HSD specifically but can help with the complications of these conditions (eg. ME/CFS and POTS)

Dr Bernard Shiu is the current Deputy Chair of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (Vic) and the Chairperson of Australian Medical Association (Geelong Division). He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer of Deakin University, School of Medicine.
He has a special interest in chronic disease management and is the co-founder of Victoria Post Acute Covid19 Study Consortium. He is an active researcher in Long Covid and serves as an adviser to National Covid19 Clinical Evidence Task Force.
Dr Shiu provides expert opinion to Department of Victoria often regarding management of chronic disease. During COVID19 epidemics, he served as a clinical expert so SaferCare Victoria providing expert advice to the government in Managing caseloads in
primary care settings.

Dr Jenny Huang received her medical training in the UK and decided upon General Practice as a specialty after finding herself enjoying all the specialties she experienced during her training.
Jenny is passionate about knowing her patients, what is important to them, and helping to support them. For Jenny, this is about her patients physical health , as well as their mental and social wellbeing.
When Dr Jenny came to Geelong a year ago, she saw a way of life similar to where she grew up – New Zealand.
When away from work she loves swimming, kayaking, bodyboarding, painting, dancing and exploring nature.

Dr Tamara Schnall graduated from Monash University in 2009 and was awarded her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014. She then went on to complete a Certificate of Women’s Health through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has worked at Inkerman Medical Group for over 10 years.
Dr Tamara now specialises in managing patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long-COVID and post-viral fatigue. In 2023, she worked with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in delivering education on Long-COVID management to GPs across Victoria.
