Associate Professor Geoff Lester is a Melbourne-based Vascular Medicine Physician with a special interest in Ehlers–Danlos syndromes (EDS), inherited aortopathies and other connective tissue disorders. He leads the Alfred Hospital’s Marfan and Inherited Aortopathy Clinic and holds an adjunct academic appointment at Monash University. His practice includes assessment of suspected EDS, coordination and interpretation of genetic testing, complex systemic vascular risk assessment, ongoing surveillance and perioperative planning.
Geoff welcomes referrals for diagnostic clarification, including patients with an existing hypermobile EDS diagnosis whose personal or family history raises concern for another inherited connective tissue disorder. His lived experience strongly influences and informs his patient-centred approach. Beyond clinical practice, he is a medical and research advisor to CTDNA, serves as a Board Director at Hearts4heart, and is a National Ambassador for the Heart Foundation.
