Dr Desmond Fang is an Australian doctor, undertaking his studies at The University of Melbourne, embarking hospital and GP training across metropolitan and rural placements before obtaining his RACGP fellowship in 2024. Desmond’s ethos is that as your GP, he is the architect that provides you the blueprint for your physical and psychological health, and that collaborates with your specialists and allied health providers to create the best plan going forward. Desmond’s patients report that his strengths are his communication, compassion and comprehensive care. Desmond takes a special interest in “zebra” illnesses such as MCAS/POTS/Hypermobility/CFS – debilitating syndromes that have traditionally been dismissed but are gaining recognition and acceptance in the modern age. While many of these conditions are difficult to treat, Desmond’s approach is to recognise that the biomedical framework for understanding health and wellbeing is complicated yet evolving, and that he is open to trialling current and emerging treatment modalities to optimise one’s quality of life.
